Jeffery Green
Prior to Honolulu, Green founded Media Solutions Consulting Group in April 1999 after a twenty-one year newspaper career. Media Solutions worked with a large variety of newspapers and organizations in the United States, Canada, Africa and Hong Kong including Newhouse Newspapers, Knight Ridder, Evening Post Publishing Company, Freedom Communications, The San Diego Union Tribune, Mid-Atlantic Advertising Managers’ Association, Southern Newspaper Publishers’ Association, The American Press Institute, the International Newspaper Marketing Association and numerous U.S. State Press Associations.
Green was an advertising columnist for the International Newspaper Marketing Association’s Ideas magazine and a weekly contributor to the Southern Newspaper Publishers’ Association Bulletin.
Prior to founding Media Solutions Green spent 16 years with Media General in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Tampa, Florida in advertising and marketing positions ending up as Vice President of Media General’s Florida Newspaper Group which includes The Tampa Tribune, two smaller dailies and twenty weekly newspapers.
He has also worked for The Milwaukee Journal, The Wisconsin State Journal/Capital Times and The Washington (DC) Times.
Green was born in Cape Town, South Africa, graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Business Science (Marketing) from the University of Cape Town in 1978 and immigrated to the USA the following year.
