Acknowledgements

The work of Leadership Asheville would not be complete without the collaboration, vision, and expertise of talented individuals in the community who are dedicated to working with us as we strive to reach our goals. We would like to thank the following individuals for their hard work and contribution to our various website projects.

Donna Carter Koger
Carter Computer Services, Asheville NC
Mrs. Koger has 12 years experience related to the integration of technology and education. she created and taught numerous technology workshops to university faculty and staff, supervised instructional technology labs, and created websites for university colleges, departments and programs. Donna also managed university projects in technology based corporate training and curriculum development for U.S. military and law enforcement agencies. Currently, Mrs. Koger is working as a web developer and consultant for small businesses and individuals in the greater Asheville area.

Dr. Joe Brownsmith, Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at UNC Asheville and Marlene Roden, Business Computer Technologies Instructor at AB Tech Community College, were instrumental in helping us to conceptualize, design and update our graduate database.

During the year long creation of our website there were two people whose dedication to the project helped to make it a reality.

Lorraine Walsh, the Director of Multimedia Arts & Sciences at UNC Asheville, served as the faculty liaison as we created our website.

The site was created by Shawn Peters, a student at UNC Asheville. His commitment, creativity and artistic design were an integral part of our website development.

We began work on this website in the summer of 2005. While it has always been on our minds, we've only been able to work on it on a part-time basis. In many ways, we have looked to and relied on community leadership websites around the world for ideas and direction. In many cases, we have borrowed heavily from other sites. In that regard, many people have assisted us in this effort and have provided important content for us so that we could offer this site to our community in a timely manner. We thank the entire community leadership programming network for their good work and generous spirit. We certainly intend to do our part in "paying it forward." If there is any content which would benefit other community leadership organizations, please feel free to use it. We hope that continued sharing will allow all ships and communities to rise with the tide.
