Maintaining healthy relationships with those around us, listening more than speaking or acting when communicating our thoughts positively impacts people’s emotional response toward what we say because it makes them feel heard rather than judged for their own actions.

1) Overcoming your fear of it – this requires making yourself uncomfortable on purpose (e.g., doing something new).
2) Take the initiative; many opportunities are missed because people wait for someone else to do something or make decisions before they act themselves.
3) Inspiring others with stories – about what you have accomplished – giving them hope and encouragement that if you could.
4) Practice self-discipline – which means you have the ability to control what happens in your life by setting limits on when and where things happen for yourself as well as others who depend upon them too
