Who Should Buy Arctis Nova 5X?
Good fit
Choose the Arctis Nova 5X if you play across Xbox and other listed platforms and want one headset to switch between gaming, calls and media.
The USB-C dongle covers several consoles and mobile devices, while Bluetooth adds a second wireless mode.
It is also a sensible fit for players who like adjusting game audio and chat balance from the companion app and headset controls. The 100+ presets and on-ear ChatMix give those buyers concrete ways to customize their setup.
Who should skip it
Look elsewhere if your setup requires a wired connection, since the connection options here are 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth. Buyers who prioritize confirmed microphone behavior in windy outdoor settings should check that point before choosing.
Arctis Nova 5X: What matters for everyday gaming
Switching between platforms
The compact USB-C dongle is the core of the headset’s cross-platform appeal, spanning Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch, Meta Quest and phones or tablets.
Before buying, confirm your usual devices can use that dongle or Bluetooth as intended, especially if you regularly move among systems.
Presets and controls
More than 100 game audio presets give app users a substantial set of starting points, while headset buttons handle power, mute, volume and ChatMix.
That combination is useful if you want convenient adjustments without relying on a single fixed sound setup.
Battery and charging rhythm
A 60-hour battery is the headline endurance feature, and USB-C fast charging adds six hours of use in 15 minutes.
These figures make the headset attractive for long or frequent sessions, though the practical routine still depends on your own play schedule and charging habits.
Calls alongside play
Bluetooth can be used to take a call or listen to media while gaming, and notification beeps alert you to incoming calls.
The retractable microphone keeps the mic available when needed; for regular calls in noisy or windy places, assess whether its use suits your environment.
